# Terms of Service
**Effective date:** September 1, 2026
**Last updated:** September 1, 2026
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Hajar Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business through the Narrative Council product ("Hajar Labs," "Narrative Council," "we," "us," or "our"). Narrative Council is a product name and not a separate legal entity or DBA. Our mailing address is 2916 Grand Mission Way, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Keith Parker is the Founder. For support, billing, cancellation, privacy, dispute, or chargeback questions, contact keith@narrativecouncil.com.
## 1. The service
Narrative Council is an AI-only, one-time Strategic Communications Playbook engagement. The public offer is one Playbook for **$99 USD plus applicable tax**, charged once at checkout; it is not a subscription and does not automatically renew. The service coordinates AI-assisted research, analysis, structured options, recommendations, client decisions, and a final strategic report. A client may see selected agency contributors, meetings, and deliverables, but internal preparation, hidden reasoning, raw prompts, provider payloads, security traces, and operational records are not client deliverables.
The service ordinarily produces a report within hours. That is an estimate, not a delivery-time guarantee. There is no promised human review: the work is generated and evaluated through AI-assisted systems. We do not promise any business result, revenue, media outcome, regulatory approval, factual accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Narrative Council is not legal, tax, accounting, investment, insurance, medical, mental-health, employment, political, or other regulated professional advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for a qualified professional. You remain responsible for your decisions, claims, approvals, disclosures, and use of the report.
## 2. Eligibility, accounts, and use
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You may buy the service as an individual consumer or on behalf of a business. If you act for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You must provide accurate account information, maintain the security of your account, and promptly tell us about unauthorized use.
You may use the service only lawfully and only for your own internal or legitimate business purposes. You must have all rights, notices, consents, and other lawful authority needed to submit project materials, including any personal data or confidential information. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, designed to compromise the service, or subject to restrictions you cannot honor. Do not use the service to generate unlawful discrimination, deceptive claims, harassment, or regulated advice.
## 3. Your materials and our confidentiality commitments
You retain ownership of the materials you submit. You grant Hajar Labs a limited, non-exclusive right to process those materials only as needed to operate, secure, improve reliability for, and deliver your engagement; meet legal obligations; and handle disputes. We will use reasonable safeguards and will not intentionally disclose your confidential materials except to personnel and service providers with a need to know and confidentiality or equivalent contractual obligations, as described in our Privacy Notice and Subprocessor disclosure, or where law requires disclosure.
Each party will use the other's confidential information only for this relationship and protect it using reasonable care. Confidential information does not include information that the receiving party can show was already known without a confidentiality duty, became public through no breach, was independently developed without use of the other party's information, or was lawfully received from another source. A party may disclose confidential information when legally required after giving notice when legally permitted.
## 4. Deliverables and intellectual property
Once payment is complete, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual right to use the final Playbook and safe preliminary material we release for your internal and external business purposes, subject to these Terms and third-party rights in your submitted materials. You retain your rights in your inputs. Hajar Labs retains all rights in Narrative Council, its software, workflows, prompts, methods, templates, models, evaluations, pre-existing materials, generalized know-how, and improvements. No transfer of those retained rights is implied.
You may not resell, sublicense, or represent our internal systems or agency members as your own service. If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not disclose your confidential information in doing so.
## 5. Delivery, quality review, and bounded recovery
Every accepted engagement has a report-delivery objective. Our automated quality process may request targeted revisions, but it is bounded: the ordinary release path uses no more than two repair cycles. We do not run an endless quality loop or make further model calls solely to pursue a perfect score. After that bounded review, we release the best safe, client-useful report available, which may identify specific limitations or unresolved assumptions.
If a full client-useful safe report cannot be produced after bounded recovery, we will issue a full refund and preserve any safe preliminary deliverable that can responsibly be shared. Safety, law, or misuse controls may require us to withhold unsafe content; when practicable, we will provide a safe explanation or alternative rather than expose restricted material. The Refund, Cancellation, and Technical Failure Policy explains the available remedies.
## 6. Payment, taxes, cancellations, and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. The price and applicable tax are displayed before you confirm payment. You authorize Stripe and its payment partners to charge the disclosed amount. You are responsible for accurate billing information and applicable taxes except taxes based on our net income. We may correct obvious pricing or availability errors before work starts.
The Refund, Cancellation, and Technical Failure Policy is incorporated into these Terms. Statutory consumer rights are not waived or limited. Do not send card numbers by email. A card-network dispute or chargeback does not remove your obligation to first give us the opportunity to address a delivery or billing issue, but it does not limit any nonwaivable right you have.
## 7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service and all outputs are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, non-infringement, accuracy, and fitness for a particular purpose. This does not exclude warranties or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if advised of the possibility. Hajar Labs' aggregate liability arising from or relating to an engagement will not exceed the amount you paid for that engagement. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable consumer rights, fraud, willful misconduct, or personal-injury liability where limitation is prohibited.
## 8. Informal resolution, governing law, and venue
Before filing a claim, either party will send a written notice describing the issue and requested resolution to keith@narrativecouncil.com (or to the account email for notices to you) and try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days. This does not prevent either party from seeking timely emergency equitable relief or from using an available consumer-protection process.
Texas law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer venue or other nonwaivable law, exclusive venue for a court proceeding is the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive class or representative-action rights where those rights apply.
## 9. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms prospectively. A new version will identify its effective date; material changes will apply to future purchases unless law requires another approach. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. These Terms, the linked policies, and the checkout confirmation form the complete agreement for an engagement.
